The Centre

The Centre offers fantastic facilities for the local Scouts and Guides. It is also available to rent by other organisations and individuals in the community.
The Centre has a large main hall with a sprung wooden floor which makes it ideal for a variety of different groups to use. There is also a smaller meeting room and access to the field on the site. Facilities include:

  • Large main hall (51ft x 28ft) 
  • Lowest ceiling height is 2m 90 (9ft 6) - highest is 3m 50 (11 ft 6)
  • Meeting room (19ft x 16ft)
  • Entrance
  • Kitchen with server
  • 14 (6x2ft) tables & 120 chairs 
  • Wheelchair access
  • Accessible toilets
  • Large field and patio area
  • Defibrillator and first aid kit

The centre is used weekday evenings by our Scout and Guide groups, but is available daytime weekdays and some weekends. 

We are located on Blackwell Road in Barnt Green B45 8BT.



Our Charter

We operate for the benefit of the Scout and Guide community in the district of Barnt Green. Our objectives are to:

  • manage the Barnt Green Scout and Guide Centre
  • ensure the Centre is made available for the use by Barnt Green Scout and Guide Groups
  • promote the Centre for use as a building for the benefit of the community in the Barnt Green Area
  • maintain the Centre in accordance with the instructions laid out by the Barnt Green Scout and Guide Field Trust
